Grace Kennedy
Co-Director
Head of Staff & Campers
Grace is a newly certified teacher who is passionate about creating an inclusive classroom environment, both in camp and in school, where each and every student feels welcome, supported, and loved. She believes in providing equitable opportunities for every child, no matter their needs or abilities.
Grace previously obtained a degree in Kinesiology with a special focus on disability and wellness. She is no stranger to summer camp having been a camp counsellor for the BC Easter Seals for 3 years. Since then, she has worked in the inclusive education community at Providence Child Development Society. Grace considers these experiences pivotal in her wanting to start a Camp here in Calgary and she can’t wait serve this community.
Kate Nugent
Co-Director
Head of Programming, Health & Safety
Kate Nugent is newly graduated teacher who strives to create a learning environment that empowers children to explore the world around them, feel confident in their abilities, and have fun!
Kate previously worked as an environmental scientist where she worked with various species of fish, birds, amphibians, and reptiles! In addition, she has coached volleyball for children of all ages for over 10 years in summer camps and club teams. Kate enjoys the wild things in life and is looking forward to sharing her passion for the outdoors with you!
